    The development of Zodel II and Siersleben opens a portfolio of wind projects.

    NEW MARKET

    Adam Pantkowski supports company’s development on the Polish renewable energy market. Vortex Energy Polska is established with its registered office in Szczecin.

  • 2010

    AMONG MARKET LEADERS

    With a capacity of over 150 MW of completed projects, Vortex Energy Polska becomes one of three leading companies in the Polish renewable energy industry. Vortex Energy professionally manages 146 MW of capacity.

  • 2014

    GOOD PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE

    Vortex Energy has developed turnkey wind power plants with a total capacity of 310.9 MW. It professionally manages 191 MW of capacity.

  • 2015-2016

    ELECTRICITY TRADING AND DEVELOPMENT OF PHOTOVOLTAIC PROJECTS

    At the turn of 2015, Vortex Energy Polska was granted a license to provide balancing and electricity trading services in Poland. The company wins a tender for PGE to plan and construct surface structures of photovoltaic systems up to 1 MW in 12 specific locations. The winning of solar projects in the first ERA auction for the sale of energy from renewable energy sources (replacing the green certificates system) gives the green light for project development.

  • 2017-2018

    FURTHER SOLAR SUCCESSES IN POLAND AND ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES IN THE GROUP

    In mid-2017, seven solar projects won another auction for the sale of electricity organized by the Energy Regulatory Authority (ERA) and they will be developed in the Zachodniopomorskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Łódzkie, Podlaskie and Dolnośląskie provinces. The construction of 5 solar parks in Kraśnik Koszaliński, Tułowice (3 projects) and Piątek has also been completed.

    At the end of 2018, Vortex repeated the success of previous energy sales auctions – winning 5 more solar projects.

    Vortex Energy Polska wins the “Your business under the flag of success” competition organized by the Marshal’s Office of Zachodniopomorskie province.

    In 2018, Vortex Energy Deutschland GmbH was sold to German E.ON group. The Polish and Belgian activities of the Group are not part of the transaction – they remain focused on the development of RES projects in Poland and Belgium.

  • 2019

    OVER 5.4 M IN NEW SOLAR PROJECTS IN THE PORTFOLIO AND WINNING 2 WIND PROJECTS IN THE ERA AUCTION

    At the beginning of 2019, attorney Maciej Pepliński was appointed the President of the Management Board and he has been with Vortex Energy Polska since 2015.

    At the end of June, construction of 6 photovoltaic power plants located in different parts of Poland, with a total installed capacity of 5.492 MW, is completed.
    Vortex Energy Polska was responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the projects, and for three farms it was also the General Contractor. All the farms were built at the same time, their construction took only about 3 months (!).

    At the end of the year, two wind projects win an auction for the sale of electricity from renewable sources organized by the Energy Regulatory Authority which means a green light for the construction of wind parks with a total capacity of 32 MW.

  • 2020

    DEVELOPMENT OF RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS

    Further development of renewable energy projects – commencement of construction of the 12th wind farm in the Vortex Energy Polska portfolio. Participation in further auctions organised by the URE.

  • 2021

    FURTHER URE AUCTIONS WINS

    Vortex Energy wins URE auctions with 2 wind and 9 photovoltaic projects.

  • 2022

    COMPLETION OF WIND FARM

    Commissioning of another wind farm (with a capacity of 24.5 MW). Further photovoltaic projects by Vortex Energy win the ERO auction for the sale of electricity.

  • 2023

    VORTEX ENERGY AND VITOL JOIN FORCES

    Vortex Energy is becoming part of the Vitol Group, gaining a partner with which it will accelerate its growth, scale of operations and the process of supporting the Polish energy transition.
